4 Dimity
DIMITY (U.S.A.)A fabric woven on two shafts with faint cords, usually printed in small patterns on a white ground, but also sold white or dyed. Much used for ladies' or children's summer wear. A standard cloth is 37-in. grey, 34/5-in. finished. The cords are made by weaving two or three ends together as one, threaded through the same mail eye. ———————— This term was given by Indian traders to a cotton cloth of the fustian character, and usually figured with raised stripes, the stripes giving an appearance of embossing due to the thick weft floats. Today the dimity is understood to be a light cloth in the plain weave, but with cords lengthwise of the cloth. Made 38-in. wide, 70 ends and 64 picks per inch, 46's ground twist and 2/14's cords, 44's weft. -
5 Haiks
The dress worn by women of Morocco for outdoor use. Usually made 21/2 yards wide and 33/4 yards long and from wool, cotton or cotton and silk mixture fabric, according to price. The country women wear the cotton styles, which are white ground with blue or red stripes, very occasionally other colours. The better cloths are white. The fabrics are seldom treated after leaving the loom. -
6 Drill Shirtings
These are heavy shirting cloths for hard wear. The designs are narrow stripes on a white ground. The cloth is piece-bleached, or woven with bleached and dyed yarns. A standard quality is made 104 ends and 68 picks per inch, 24's T., 16's W. -
7 Dugebia
A very fine cloth with cotton and silk in stripes or checks having two dents (8 ends) of cotton and two dents of silk throughout the cloth. A piece consists of 9 to 12 yards and is used for shirts, etc., for summer wear. The cloth has about 92 ends and 80 picks per inch. -
8 Madras Gingham
Very similar in yarns to Madras, but with much more colour, as much as 75 per cent of colour in the stripes and 50 per cent colour with checks. Used for fine shirtings, blouses, and children's wear. -
9 Meraline Raye
A trade term for a woollen striped fabric used for dress purposes. The stripes are narrow and alternately armure and plain or twill bars. Made 42-in. wide and light weight for summer wear. -

3.SMjugar 3.

en todo o en parte, in whole or in part
All y whole tienen significados parecidos, pero se usan en estructuras diferentes. All se coloca delante de un artículo, pronombre posesivo o demostrativo, mientras que whole se coloca después: all the world, pero the whole world; all your family, pero your whole family; all this time, pero this whole time.
Everybody has to bring their (own) pens.

15 Blazer Cloths
Are wool fabrics made into garments for sports wear. Dyed worsted yams are used and either all one colour or in stripes. Usually 5-end satin weave. One quality is 29-in., 116 X 68, 2/50's/2/50's worsted. Lower cloths are made with cotton weft. A variety is made from all wool, heavily milled, raised and then printed in the stripe designs needed for sports wear. Usually made about 42 X 44 per inch, 24 skeins warp and weft. Imitation blazer cloths are made from two-fold yarns with a percentage of cotton, such as 2/50's warp and 2/40's weft, 60 per cent wool, 40 per cent cotton. -
16 Mashru
A silk dress fabric, made with cotton back and woven by the natives of Punjab and Sind, India. The name means " permitted " in vernacular, with reference to the law forbidding Mohammedans to wear pure animal fibre (silk) garments. The cotton back being next to the skin the fabric is worn by orthodox Mohammedans. The most customary fabric is made with very highly finished satin stripes, and at Ranjore, Hyderabad and Trichinopoly it is made with gold figures. The fabric is now made of all mercerized cotton imported from England. -
17 Sufi
The general trade term in India for a variety of fabrics made with cotton warp and silk weft. They are made in the Punjab, Sindh, and other parts of India for orthodox Mohammedans in plains, stripes, checks or figured effects. The name is derived from the Persian " musuffa," meaning pure, in this instance " lawful," referring to the law which forbids Mohammedans to wear silk unless mixed with cotton, which fibre, in this instance, forms the back of the cloth and separates the silk from the skin of the wearer. -
18 Casement Repp
A special heavy repp fabric also used for curtains, hangings, etc. Usually with three to four times more ends than picks, and both plain dyed, stripes and jacquard effects. Both sides of the cloth are alike. Two warps are used and a standard cloth is made 132 X 48, 2/60's and 2/20's warps, 16's or 2/40's weft. The 2/60's warp is mercerised yarn and denting is two ends 2/60's and one end 2/120's. The coarse warp is loosely weighted and the finer tightly weighted, the fabrics are rather expensive, but always hang well and wear well. -

A heavy worsted fabric in plain weave, also with narrow colour stripes, made in Yorkshire about 1850 to 1890. Single yams were used and the cloth lustre finished. Used for women's wear, and the striped cloth for chair seats, instead of the camel-hair cloth then in use.
